2011-12 Program of Work

 The following are the main areas of focus for the OACTS organization for 2011-12.  The Executive Director will communicate with the Executive Committee and membership on progress toward these areas. 

Adult Education/University System of Ohio

• Continue to assure OACTS representation

• Continue collaboration with community college leadership

CTE Leadership Program

• Consult with other entities (Ohio ACTE, BASA, etc.) for program development/delivery

• Implement Aspiring Superintendents leadership program

• Seek investment partners

CTE Program Quality Assurance

• Work to impact performance measures at state level

• Work to impact approved technical assessments

• Determine data needed to support our position and develop system for “warehousing” data

• Implement the Race to the Top Grant

Funding/Legislative Issues

• Identify and communicate legislative issues as they arise

• Working in cooperation with legislative reps
